London - Guangzhou (72 - in Hong Kong ) Bali (15 Days) back to London

I am flying to Bali going through Guangzhou , and intend to have a 72 hour stop over in Hong Kong taking the train from the airport and back again, Will i need to apply for a visa ? or will i be able to apply once i am at the airport . Also will there be an issue with me coming back into china to get my onward flight in 72 hours time to bali ?

thank you

Rachel, you mean you want to travel like this: London-Guangzhou-HK (72 hours)-Guangzhou-HK? If yes, and you can make sure that your layover time in Guangzhou is less than 24 hours respectively for both transits, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit because the 24 hour direct transit is applicable to your situation. There won’t be any issue.
As for HK, you can enjoy free entry to go there.
