About:Macau Visa Policy

Do I need to clear Shenzhen Immigration if I wish to go directly to Macau but landed in SZX?

I plan to go to Macao from Kota Kinabalu (KK), but the flight from KK to SZX is much cheaper than to Macao.
I actually need visa to enter SZ, but do not need entry permit to enter Macao. I am wondering is there any way so that I do not need to clear SZ Immigration, but directly transfer to Macau by ferry and clear only Macau immigration. Thanks

Gabriel, if your stay in Shenzhen is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit. In this case, no entry permit is needed.

Thank you.

I'm using Airasia n the flight landed at T3 ShenZhen Airport. Upon arrival, do i go straight to ferry port or need to buy ticket at the counter in terminal building? I have one checked-in luggage. where should i pick it up? or is it direct transferred to ferry port by showing luggage tag when buying ticket.

After arrival at the airport, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the immigration office. And then you can go to the port to take the ferry. You may need to collect the luggage by yourself.

When you proceed to immigration Clearance, you just apply for the temporary stay permit.
It's free of charge. By the way, you should get a confirmed ticket to Macau in advance.
