Taiwan - Beijing - USA 24 hour Layover

I am traveling from Taiwan to the US with a 23.5 hour layover in Beijing and I want to leave the airport during the layover. Do I apply for a Temporary Entry Permit at the Beijing airport? Or should I apply for the 72 hour visa at the airport to be safe?

Tina, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit, so you need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport. It won’t cause any problem, don’t worry!
