liquid items restriction

I heard that flight in China request the liquid items (like shampoo, conditioner, sunblock) should be less than 100 ml and should not be in the carry-on luggage. So I should put them in my checked bag in a separate plastic bag? Is the checked bag inspected before it goes on the plane?

If you take the liquid items as the carry-on luggage, it should be less than 100ml for each item and you should put it in a separate bag for inspection. While if you put it into the checked luggage, there is no limitation on the size. Usually the checked luggage will be inspected by the manchine when you check in. If the staff needs to open your luggage for the inspection, they will find you and let you open it. Thank you.
