Travelling from the UK to Shanghai and staying for 1 day before moving onto our flight to New Zealand.
Do I need to apply for a visa for 1 day in Shanghai?

Mo, no, you don’t need it for 1-day stay in Shanghai because you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit there.

I'll be staying over night and visiting the city sites before I leave. Is that within the limits? 24-36 hours?
