Jinshanling and Simatai Great Wall

We would like to visit Jinshanling and Simatai Great Wall. We are in our mid 50s and two of us have knee problems so we can't climb steep steps. We want to cover these 2 sections of the Great Wall with a combination of leisurely hike and cable cars. We want to go to Tower 10 at Simatai, is it feasible?

One day is too rushed for you to visit these two sections of Great Wall if you prefer to take some hikings. Since you could not climb the steps, I suggest you take cable car. Now, there are only 9 towers in the east section are opened on Simatai Great Wall. You could take the cable car from Tower 2. After getting off the cable car, you still need to walk about 15-20 minutes to get to Tower 8, and then continue walking to Tower 10. The part from Tower 2 to the west and from Tower 10 to the east are still closed to the tourists, so it is impossible to hike from Simatai to Jinshanling.
