Do I need to take an adapter?

When traveling in China, do I need to purchase an adapter to recharge digital cameras and phones? I know I am going to want to take many photographs and I don't know if China had the same voltage/amperage as in the U.S.

Most of the hotels in the country have both 110V and 220V electrical outlets in the bathrooms, though in guest rooms usually only 220V sockets are available, so a transformer is necessary. Most of the hotels offer the adapter for the clients. It is also ok for you to ake your own one, or you could buy it upon arrival easily.
