L Visa for groups (permit not stamped in the passport)

Hi,
I would like to travel to PRC using a group entry permit (this document has no pictures and it is not stamped in the passports).

I would like to know if anyone has travelled to PRC using this permit.
The Embassy told us we should apply for individual L type at the CVASC and we can not find much information about this type of permit.

Thanks!

Based on what I know, you need to book a tour from a travel agency and then you can apply for the group tourist L type. The required documents contain a notification from an authorized unit, the application form, passport and its copy, and an introduction letter from the travel agency. And then submit the application to the CVASC to apply for it.

Of course, if you don’t want to join a tourist group, then you can apply for the individual tourist L type. The first step is to prepare the required documents including your passport and copy of its data page, the completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation as well as other relevant materials the consular officers consider necessary. And then submit the application to the CVASC to apply for it.
