About:Marriage Registration in China

Re register of marriage certificate in china

My marriage registered in uae and six years old.notarised by Chinese consulate in uae.if I want to register my married certificate in my wife birth place in china what are the documents need?is it possible to get hukou?

Salith, you can just take your passport, your wife's household book, and your notarized and authenciated marriage certificate and go to the police station where your wife's Hukou is. Then ask the officer to change your wife's marriage status. You don't need to register your marriage again. However, before you get Chinese citizenship, you can't get Hukou.

It's very hard to get the citizenship. You can only apply for it after you lived continuously in China for five years and each year 9 months in China at least.
