Can i bring ginseng tea bags?

I heard you can't bring american ginseng into china. I am assuming they mean the root. what about wisconsin ginseng tea bags? my friend wants me to bring back a couple of boxes. Is this acceptable?

The fresh ginseng is not allowed to enter CN. But processed ginseng tea can be taken. You'd better decalre them at the customs just in case.
