l visa extention , bank statement required?

Hi, I am currently in Shanghai on a L tourist entry permit, I am looking to apply for a 1 month extention - As there is some helpfull information above, one item I find a little supriseing is the -financial support with RMB 21,000 for a 30 days extension (USD 100 per day) - a stamped balance inquiry from Bank of China will do the trick; and a residency registration. - Dose anyone have any more information on this and if it a legitimate requirement of the L type Extention Kind Regards,

David, I don't see the financial support with RMB 21,000 is required. The policy has changed anyway. However, the residency registration is still needed. It should be obtained when you register yourself at the PSB after your entry.

Hi Amy,Thanks for your help.If I book some accommodation online can they send me one of these so-called Pink slips via emails or can I show a booking reservation? Will this be good enough? Or will I have to go to the hotel check in and get this notice then take it with me,Also, my Visa runs out on the 13th July so from tomorrow 5th - I have like 7-day window through the weekend - will this be enough time?Thanks a lot,David

David, accommodation booking record is good enough as your accommodation arrangement. You don’t need to go to the hotel and check in to get the notice. Usually, the extension should be made 7 days earlier before it expires, so you should apply for the extension now.
