About:Getting to Urumqi

I want to go to Kanas lake during 19-24 Oct 2016 but I have heard this period is snowing.

Is it suitable to go this period?

Yes, it will be snowing then, and I am afraid it is not an ideal time. The best time is in June and September when the scenery is lovely and the climate is favorable. Therefore, you are advised to alter your plan a little bit. :)
