Chinese Tourist Visa for Turks & Caicos Native

I am a Bahamian citizen living in the Bahamas and I have a friend who is native of Turks & Caicos Island interested in a tourist visa to visit PRC. The Bahamas is the nearest Chinese Embassy for me her because there is no Chinese Embassy on her Island. So I have 2 questions:

1. What is the application process and what documents would she have to provide to support her application?

2. Would I be able to apply for the visa on her behalf, or does she have to appear in person to submit application and collect visa (if successful)?

Thank you so much.

1. The first thing is to prepare the required documents containing her passport and copy of its data page, the filled-out application form affixed with a half-length color photo, the valid entry permit for Bahamas, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation, as well as other documents required by the consular officers. And then submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for the L type.
2. You can apply it for her. She doesn’t need to be go there in person if the consular officers don’t require that.
