About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour free transit vs 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai

I am landing in Shanghai at 5am from the US and leaving at 6pm the same day. I have hired a driver to take us into Shanghai for a tour. Which visa do I need?

Balley, if you will fly to a third country or region rather than US after staying in Shanghai, you can enjoy the free transit there. In this way, you don’t need to get any entry permit.
