Transit Visa at Shanghai Airport

I hold Indian Passport and am travelling from Auckland to Delhi by China Eastern Airlines. I have confirmed tickets from China Eastern for travel right up to Delhi. I will change flight at Shanghai after stay of 15 hours there after my arrival from Auckland. It is presumed that I will not be required to have any transit G type for 15 hours stay in a hotel at Shanghai, as China Eastern will be providing complimentary hotel accomodation.
Thanks.
Jaspal

Yes, you don't need to have any trasit permit because you can enjoy the 24-hour direct transit policy.
