Of course it is doable and the water level of the river is high enough in Sep. The highlight of the river is to take the cruise from Guilin to YS. You can go to Guilin first and then experience it. If you wanna avoid the trouble, take a bus from YS Bus Station to Yangdi and go to Yangdi Dock to take the bamboo raft to enjoy the scenery of the river.0
