About:China Visa

possibility of supporting oneself on an X1 visa

is it really possible/permited to support myself whilst i am studying in china during the course of my studies

Dear, you can't work on an X1 type when you are in China. It's illegal. If you want to work part time legally, you can contact your school and see if there is job opportunity. Remember you have to get the consent of your school and then add a remark on your residence permit.
