About:How to Refund / Cancel a China Train Ticket

Changing class on train?

Hello,

Is there still a service charge to change the class on a ride-- say from a 2nd class seat to a soft sleeper on the same schedule?

Do you mean onboard? If there are still seats or beds available, you can upgrade to it by paying the price difference. By the way, if seats still available you can make the change in advance as well before departure. You can hold the paper ticket to change it at the railway station or ask your booking agent to make the change if you still not have the paper one in hand.
