About:Dress Code in China

I will be doing an internship in Beijing in August and September.

The dress code is 'casual' but I was wondering what the meaning of 'workplace casual' is in China? Will I be allowed to wear dresses with tights and flat shoes for example? Or blouses with black jeans?

That means you can wear comfortable clothes to work. Simple and neat blouses and trousers are suitable.
However, never wear slippers, vests, or colorful clothes.

Well, black jeans may be ok. But you'd better not wear light-colored jeans. :)
