About:China Visa Exemption

Direct Transit Applicable for Train

The embassy page states "A foreign citizen who is transiting through PRC by air is exempted from a visa if he/she will stay only in the airport for no more than 24 hours and has a valid connecting ticket with confirmed seating on an international flight." If I am a USA citizen coming from Mongolia to Beijing via train and taking a flight out within 24-hours. Do I need to get an entry permit?

Dear, you don't need it. For what I know, the 24-hour direct transit policy has been expanded to be applicable to train and ship passengers as well.
