from nanjing to tulou country

Question

Hi, I want to go to the famous Tulou villages with my Dad & Brother. I understand that the easiest way is to take the train from Shanghai to Nanjing （南靖） but how do I get to the Tulou villages from Nanjing. Can I hire a driver at the station? Do you recommend to stay over night or can I do it in one day?

The bullet train ride takes about 8.5h. After arriving, just take Tulou special cab and arrive at the scenic area directly. The duration is about 40 mins. It is recommended you plan a 2-day tour and spend a night in there. The next day morning, you can take a special line to Tulou at Nanjing Bus Station.
