Visa for English person

Hi,

I'm arriving in Jakarta at the end of the month, with an onward journey to China and the end of July. I don't have enough time to apply for my Chinese visa in England before leaving for Indonesia. Can I apply for it in Jakarta with a 30 tourist entry permit?
