About:Jinshanling Great Wall

Downtown Beijing to JinShanLing section

What is the best way to reach the wall section of the Great Wall by public transport starting from Bao Chao Hutong bus station? How long would the trip take and what sort of costs for fares would we be looking at? We intend to get the transportation smart cards, can we use those for this trip?
Thanks heaps :)

You can use smart cards to take subway line 8 from the nearby Shichahai Station to Wangjingxi of line 15 with a transfer at Olympic Green Station. You can find the tourist bus station to the Wall to the opposite of Exit C. The subway should take 30min and cost CNY4.
There is only one direct bus to the Wall, leaving at 8:00. You can also take a coach there to Luanping and get off at Jinshanling Service Area, you will be transfered to the Wall by a free shuttle bus. The bus ride takes around 2h and the fare is CNY32. You should pay it in cash.
When you arrive at the Wall, you should also pay CNY65 for entering the scenic area.
