About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I fly back to the original destination?

I live and work in South Korea. I hold a working visa in South Korea (I am from USA). Can I fly to shanghai, use the 144 hr free transit and return back to South Korea or do I have to fly on to a 3rd destination?

If you want to use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai, you should fly to a third country or region instead of Korea after you stay there for less than 144 hours.
