About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Where will I apply my visa?

I am a Filipina and now working as a helper in HK. I just get married with a Chinese national. I like to ask where can I apply an entry permit so I can go with my husband in China? What documents I need to provide? Do I need to go to the PRC Embassy in the Philippines to apply my entry permit?

Emilyn, since you work as a domestic helper in HK, it's hard to apply for mainland entry permit if your employer does not go with you. So I'm afraid you may have to go back to PRC embassy in the Philippines to apply.

You can apply for a Q type. You need to submit those documents:
1. your passport and copy of its data page
2. application form with a passport-style photo attached
3. an invitation letter from your husband and his Chinese ID card
4. and your marriage certificate
After, submit the application to the embassy of PRC in Philippines to apply for it. Usually, 4 working days are needed to process the application.
