Gail, if you apply for it by post, you need to pay AUD 131.5 in total which include $60 for visa fee and $71.5 for mail application service fee. Besides, you need to pay for the postage by yourself. After you post the application to the CVASC, it usually takes 10 working days to process your application. I think you will be notified when it gets approved. And you can ask the CVASC to mail your passport back after the approval.
