About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London - Shanghai (74 hours) - Bali - Shanghai (stop over for 5hrs) - London

Hi there,

Am I allowed to use the 144hrs for the above trip? When I stay in shanghai for the 74 hours I am staying with family at a hotel and then will be back in shanghai 7 days later on a connecting flight from Bali (not leaving the airport).

Can I just inform the airline before my travels that I wish to have the 144hrs or do I need to do anything else?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Chanelle, you can enjoy the free transit twice in Shanghai for the above trip.
Before you board the plane, you just need to inform the airline that you want to use the free transit in Shanghai.
