what do i need to do? i want to stay in prc

I am an American and I'm married to a chinese woman. We got married in the US. I recently got my Q1 type because we plan on staying in PRC for a long time. I have my marriage license which has been notarized already by the state of Texas and the county of which I live in. What else/all do I need to provide for my application for the Temporary Resident Permit? Im leaving very soon and I need all the help I can get. Also I haven't been married for 5 years nor have I lived in the PRC for 5 years. Is that going to affect me getting a permit?

In order to apply for the temporary residence permit, besides the marriage certificate, you also need to provide your passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence and medical report. Although you haven’t been married for 5 years, you can still apply for the residence permit because it is a temporary one. It won’t cause a problem.

awesome thank you! Would you happen to know how old the medical physical report could be for me to use? I got one done for my job not too long ago. Or does it have to be fairly recent?

Based on what I know, you need to have the examination at the International Travel Healthcare Center after you enter PRC, so I’m afraid the previous medical report cannot be used.
