I am from India going to Hongkong via china eastern airlines via Kunming

can I stay in Kunming for 2 days and explore the city without paying visa fees under 72 hr free transit

If you hold Indian passport, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Kunming because of your nationality. If you want to stay for 2 days there, a tourist L type or transit G type is needed.
