About:Tourist Complaints in China

In booking a flight I made a typing error in the spelling of my wife's surname by a single alphabet.

I Pointed this out to the travel website within a day of my booking and requested them to rectify this error with the airline company. I was told that they had contacted the airline which had rejected my request and advised me that any correction cannot be entertained as there is a no modification condition for the class. I explained that there is no change in identity and all passport details of my wife which I had submitted at the time of booking are correct and remain unchanged. I was told to buy a new ticket and to treat the existing one as forfeited resulting in a financial loss. What should I do now? Thank you. Woon.

Hi, Woon. I'm afraid the only way is to refund and buy a new ticket. Most airlines don't accept name modification. Be careful this time!
