trek from jinshanling (the general tower) to simatai chain bridge

Hi, we made a reservation to an hotel at Water Town and we plan to take a taxi to Jinshan Ridge Great Wall Management Office, start a trek from The General Tower and finish it to the Simatai Chain bridge. Is it something possible? Thank you for getting back to me at your earliest possible convenience

The trekking route from General Tower to Simatai is officially closed, for this section is lack of renovation and it's very dangerous to hike through. But you can still find a local peasant guiding you to the Wall through a short-cut. Still, it is not recommended to do the hiking for your safety.
