About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I am wanting to visit Main land China for a year as a tourist, what are the requirements?

I hold a British passport and I want to visit for a year but I intend to stay in Hong Kong for a couple of months be flying to main land and not sure if the ticket to Hong Kong would be okay for the visa?

Alex, the ticket to HK will be okay and you can apply for a 2-year multiple-entry tourist L type which costs the same as the one-year L type.
