About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Multiple entry question

Hi I have a multiple entry visa into PRC. Each time I can stay for a maximum of 60 days. However I need to stay a bit longer this time. Am I able to travel to Hong Kong and back to mainland PRC to solve this? That is, does coming back from HK mean I have re-entered PRC, therefore extending my stay for another 60 days?
Many Thanks

Evan, yes, you can exit to HK and then come back to get another 60 days, which means you activate another 60 days, and it’s not an extension.
Of course, you can also extend it within mainland PRC at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB 7 days prior to its expiry date.
