About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Different names in passport

Hi,
I will be traveling from Australia to Russia with 36 hours in Shanghai. My Australian passport and ticket to Russia have my married name but my Russian passport still has my maiden name. Will I encounter any difficulties applying for this visa? I will have my marriage certificate with me.

Tina, you are only allowed to enter and exit PRC with the same passport, so you can just use either of them for your entry and exit. In this case, there is no need to worry.
Besides, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai. Nice trip.
