About:Shanghai - Hangzhou High Speed Train

how far is Hangzhou East station from city area?

hello.. i will be travelling from shanghai to hangzhou. I can stay near west lake or in city area so may i ask:
1) should i be taking SH to hangzhou east station ?
2) from East station - how many mins by taxi to West lake or to city area ?

For this trip, most of the rides stop at east station. Not sure which area of west lake will you go for, but by taxi, usually it should be around 30min if no traffic problem.
