can i cancel my residence permitz visa?

Hi there, I was wondering whether I could cancel a Z type and residence permit. I am no longer working for the employer that helped me get the Z type and they are unwilling to give me a release letter for a new employer. So I am wondering whether I can cancel the current Z type and residency permit before it has expired and start a new application for my future employer. Thanks for all your help.

The release letter is necessary if you want to cancel your work permit. So I’m afraid you need to consult with your current company and get the release letter first.
