is apporintment needed for visa?

Do I have to make an appointment to apply for my tourist L type?  Or show up with my completed paperwork at 9:00am  I have had 2 visa in the past and each year forget the process. Last year I was given a multiple entry for 1 year.  I have UK passport but I am a Permanent resident of Nicaragua. My China entry permit has now expired.  Can I pay a fee for same day issue?

You don’t need to make an appointment to apply for the L type. You should go there between 09:00 and 12:00 every Monday, Wednesday or Friday. You can choose the same-day rush service and you need to pay additional rush service fee.
