l-visa duration

Question

Hi, I have a Norwegian passport and wish to stay in China for 51 days. Is that possible with an L-type permit with only one entry? How long does the L-type last?  Finding so many different answers...

Bay, it’s hard to say because usually, you may get a 30-day single entry tourist L type. Of course, sometimes, one can get stay duration of 60 days and it is mainly up to how many days you need. However, if you just get a 30-day tourist L type, you can possibly stay in PRC for 2 months because you can apply for an extension of your tourist L type 7 days earlier before it expires, in this case, you may get another 30 days and you can stay in PRC for 51 days.
