Hey My name is Kenneth, I am coming to China for School for one year and after it I will get married with my Chinese girl friends. SO I wish to find a job in Beijing. I want to know the procedure of getting married in China, like what kinds of documents do we need, also how to do about the visa. Thanks very much Kenneth

For the marriage registration in PRC, you need to prepare those documents including your passport, your residence permit in PRC, and single status certificate. Your girlfriend needs to provide her Chinese ID card, and the single status certificate. And then go to the Department of Civil Affairs to register your marriage. After you get married in PRC, you can apply for a spouse Q type to stay in PRC, but you cannot work in PRC with the Q type.If you want to work in PRC, a work Z type is needed.
