I, therefore, wish to apply to change my X-2 student visa to one month tourist L type, so we can stay together, before going back home. The problem is that although when I first arrived in China, I registered our address and got the relevant form, I had to get an extra entry on my visa as I needed to leave the country and come back. When I did this, the Officer at the PSB took the form from me and never returned it. Can I apply for the change in visa without the form? If not, what is my best option?Thanks for your help.

Al, I’m afraid you need to provide the valid registration form of temporary residence when you change X2 type to L type. You can go to the local PSB and ask for this form.
