About:China Student Visa

Can I switch my L visa to X1 type being in China?

I am a Russian citizen and was already accepted to a Chinese university, however I would like to enter China 3 months earlier than the study starts to travel. So I got 30 days tourist L type and planning to extend it for 30 more days. And one month prior the study switch to X1 type and then apply for residence permit. Is it possible?

Gleb, I think it’s possible for you to change the L type to X1 type after you enter PRC. But it mainly depends on if the school will help you do that.
