fastest return trip to qing hai lake

Hi, I will be arriving at Xining Railway Station at 0900, is it possible to make a trip to the lake in the day and be back in the evening to catch another train at 2050? Or will it better to go to Chaka Salt Lake instead?

Time is a bit tight to make a day trip to Qinghai Lake from railway station and be back in the evening. If you want to do it, I suggest you charter a car to save time. The fare is around CNY500-700 per car per day in high season. Compared with Chaka Salt Lake, I prefer Qinghai Lake.
