living room/ dining room combo

Question

I have north facing Windows and open hallways on both the far east and west side of the dining/living room combo. Where should I put my couch and dining room table?!

The couch should be placed against the wall and on the opposite side of the gate.The dining table shouldn't face the wash room or the kitchen. Or, it may influence the health of the family members.
