visa requirements (invitation letter)

Hi! I would like to apply for a tourist visa in Cebu. I have an invitation letter from a friend of mine who's a PRC resident. I am not sure though if it is valid since he just scanned and sent it to me. Another thing is because it doesn't have a seal or any sort. Just our names, his address and some other basic information. Will that suffice as a financial proof since he indicated there he will cover the expenses?
But I also have a passbook with at least 100k but the problem is it is in a company's cooperative and not in a bank. Will the consul accept it?

Mar, in most cases, the scanned copy of the invitation letter can be used to the application as long as your friend has signed on the invitation.
As for the financial support, I’m afraid you may need to provide his bank savings account or recent 3-month bank statement. Or you can provide your employment certificate as a proof to provide your financial standing. Of course, your passbook may also can be used for the application.

hi Jenny, thank you so much for your reply. however, I still have another question. Would my application be enough if I submit the following additional requirements? Will the chance of my application to be approved become high?
1) Invitation letter from my Chinese friend in China
2) My certificate of employment
3) My income tax return
4) Photocopy of my passbook
5) Round trip tickets
