Are visas available for common-law spouse?

Hi -- my common-law husband will be working as a teacher at a school in China this summer for a two-year contract and I would like to accompany him. Is it possible for me to obtain an S1 type as his common-law spouse? Thanks

If you didn't registere your marriage at the marriage registration department and don't have the marriage certificate, you cannot apply for the S1 type.
