About:Mount Wutai

Getting around Wutai

Hi,
Anyone knows how to get around Mt.Wutai?
Is there any recommended route to go around the mountain?
I will bring a child along also.

Also, is it near from Ningwu and Xinzhou?

People going there mainly for the temples and one day is not enough to visit all of them. If you have one day, you can start the visit from Taihuai village, then Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple and then the peak. If you have another day, you can visit some other temples like Nanshan temple and Longquan temple.

There is cable car to save you energy. But for most of the time, you need o walk. Fortunately, the mountains there are not very high compared with other buddhist mountains.

Xinzhou is a little bit more closer than Ningwu. Also, it is more convenient to get there from Xinzhou.
