About:China Tourist Visa

Visa for summer course in China, which type to apply for

I am a Dutch student taking a summer course in China. The univsersity CUPL recommended that I should apply for a tourist L type due to the easier paper work and not for a short-time visit as a student. Is is sensible to take this action?

Hans, as per my understanding, if you study in PRC for a short term, it's wise to apply for an F type or X2 type by providing an invitation letter from the school. F type is a better choice and it's not very hard to get as long as you can get the letter from the university.
