About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

my husband is going to china for further studies. he will also work there.

what type of visa should i apply to accompany him? i would like to work there too and possibly do a phd. please advise! thanks!

If you just accompany him, you can apply for an S1 type, but if you want to work there or do PHD there, you need to apply for a work Z type or student X type.
