You can apply for a tourist entry permit to go there for a visit. The required documents include the application form, a passport-style photo, hotel reservation, transportation arrangement, copy of your passport and mainland China residence permit, your financial support proof, and your travel itinerary. And then post your application to HK immigration department to apply for it. Here is the postal address:
Receipt and Despatch Sub-unit
HK Immigration Department
2/F, Immigration Tower
7 Gloucester Road
Wan Chai, HK

There is a HK office in Guangzhou, but I'm not sure whether it accepts entry permit applications. You can contact the organization to try your luck.
