You'd better take saving as the principal thing on your financial plan for this year. Buying an apartment should cause some financial pressure, so it should be put off.
But if you have saved enough money to cover the daily expense after buying the house, you may do it anytime.

Hi, Ong. Since there is still half of the year left, it should be quite hard to predict the next year's fortune.
Just some advise for this year: get away from risky investment, such as stocks and speculations. The chance to gain a windfall from them may be slight.

Dear Katrine
many thanks.

But this year, 2016 - I happen to be the only bread winner in the family.
I can feel that I am trying to make ends meet.

When will I have better times in terms of finances ?

You must feel very toilsome. Just work hard and show your boss you are good enough to get a better payment. This will definitely improve your financial condition. Don't try stocks or speculations. It is too risky.

Dear Katrine
Again, many thanks
It is always chicken and egg thing
If there is increment / promotion - there will be work load
Am I able to take it if they increase the work load?

It is always the truth that the more you work, the more you earn. If you can handle the work load, it should be a good chance.

Hi Katrine,

One of my aspirations in life is to complete a higher degree, Phd
Do you think it is good for me to do it (wonder whether it helps in my future career)?
When I got my MBA, it does not help much in terms of advancement etc...

Getting a Phd degree can definitely be good for your career. But as you said, you are the only bread winner of the family. So, you may feel more stressful doing your job and completing the study at the same time. You should really think about it.

Dear Ms Katrine Many thanks again

You said '' getting a Phd is good for my career ". I got my MBA in 2008 - It does not get me high up the corporate ladder or better advancement .

So, I need to be sure if getting a Phd is really good for me ?
And what should I do - a Phd Business Administration? (I am planning to do on line )
Last question - Am I able to complete it?
